Chief operating officer, Medicines for All Institute


About the position

The College of Engineering in Virginia Commonwealth University invites applicants to the exciting opportunity of Chief Operating Officer, Medicines for All Institute. This position will lead all day-to-day activities and will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer of The Medicines for All Institute (M4All). The COO will craft and translate strategy into goals and action plans which enable the organization to deliver on M4All’s commitments to its various funding partners. The COO will be primarily responsible for managing the portfolio of M4All, defining organizational priorities and securing and aligning resources and infrastructure required to deliver high quality results. As M4All’s mission is to develop new cost-effective pharmaceutical processes by combining academic ingenuity and industrial practicality, a critical aspect for the COO is the ability to navigate in an academic and pharmaceutical/chemical engineering setting while providing strong process-oriented leadership of all functions. Also, as M4All depends upon collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including its funding partners, the COO position requires building and maintaining positive relationships while executing and delivering results. This position requires establishment and maintenance of sound financial practices.
