Associate dean of business and administration

About the position

The School of Nursing in Virginia Commonwealth University invites applications for Associate Dean for Business and Administration (ADBA). Reporting to the Dean for the School of Nursing, the ADBA will be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and managing resources and personnel to support the operation of the school. The ADBA will oversee the day-to-day administrative functions of the School of Nursing. This position will serve on the School of Nursing Executive Council and will report to the Dean. Responsibilities include overseeing all fiscal resources (not including development), human resource responsibilities, management of the school of nursing building facilities and space management, and overseeing information technology delivery; planning and managing the student computer initiatives and requirements as well as other technology requirements as they emerge; preparing and executing the university technology related budgets including, but not limited to, the Student Technology Fee, the Higher Education Equipment Trust Fund and the Capital Equipment budget. The ADBA will serve as the primary point of contact for the School of Nursing within the VCU system and external entities for related-administrative functions.
