Bonuses for VCU employees

 

The FY 23 state budget included provisions for a one-time bonus payment of $1,000 to eligible state employees who were employed as of August 10, 2022 and remain employed through December 1, 2022, payable on December 1, 2022. Adjunct faculty and temporary staff are not eligible for this bonus.

 

Full-time employee bonus eligibility

  • Must be a full-time salaried employee during the period of August 10, 2022 through December 1, 2022.  

  • Full-time employees receive a $1000 bonus.   

  • Full-time salaried employees (>= .75FTE).  

  • Performance:

    • No active written notices/formal discipline between the period of November 10, 2021 and November 10, 2022.

    • Performance rating/assessment as Developing or above (staff) or Satisfactory and above (faculty). 

 

Part-time term and tenured/tenure eligible faculty and part-time salaried staff employees bonus eligibility 

  • Must be a part-time salaried employee during the period of August 10, 2022 through December 1, 2022.  

  • A part-time salaried employee is someone who works .5 -.74 FTE.   

  • Part-time employees receive a bonus based on the % of FTE *$1000 (for example, a part-time  employee working .65 FTE will receive a bonus of $650).

  • Performance:

    • No active written notices/formal discipline between the period of November 10, 2021 and November 10, 2022.

    • Performance rating/assessment as Developing or above (staff) or Satisfactory and above (faculty).
