How To Get Started

• Step 1: Determine if coaching is right for you by setting up a consultation with the Organizational Effectiveness Consulting team.
• Step 2: Confirm availability of departmental resources for payment by discussing with your manager and coordinating with school/unit financial team to secure and finalize a budget.
• Step 3: Review coaching organizations below to determine which coaching firm best suits the needs of the individual or group.
• Step 4: Have a representative of the school/unit contact the selected coaching firm(s) to review engagement details and pricing, including a scope of work document and official quote.
• Step 5: Ask your fiscal administrator to work with Procurement and the coaching vendor for payment, completing the procurement process.

Pricing varies by firm and based on contracted rates, scope and length of agreement. Detailed pricing will be available in the VCU Procurement system. Each coach typically contacts potential clients about 24-48 hours after the initial request is submitted.
