2025 CVC starts Oct. 1!

The Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC) is the annual charitable giving program for employees of the Commonwealth. Through the CVC, you can join our mission of supporting non-profit organizations that make a difference in Virginia.

Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC)

The Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC) is the only annual workplace giving program for the Commonwealth’s workforce, operated for and by state employees under the Executive Order of the Governor. With a selection of approximately 675 charities to choose from, you can enjoy flexible options for how to give, such as payroll deductions or credit card payments. The 2025 campaign runs from October 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025.

Charities participating in the CVC have been pre-screened to ensure that they are fiscally sound and that they perform the services stated, so you can feel confident that your dollars go farther toward the causes you care about. All monetary donations made through the CVC are 100% tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Learn more about the CVC on their website, or follow them on Facebook. If you have given directly to a CVC participating charity during the campaign and wish to report it, please contact your CVC Agency Coordinator (listed below).

  • Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond (Code 200039) - Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Richmond provides a "home-away-from-home" and support services for families with children receiving medical treatment in the Richmond region. For some families, this is a place to stay, for some a meal and for others a place to breathe and seek respite. Our flagship Ronald McDonald House opened on April 15, 1980 at 2330 Monument Ave. There, we provide good night's sleep, warm meals, laundry services, transportation to medical appointments, respite and comfort to families whose child is receiving medical care in Richmond. We serve families from Richmond, all over Virginia and the United States as well as families traveling to Richmond for care from other countries. On July 19, 2023, we opened our second Ronald McDonald House (RMH) in the new Children's Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) at VCU. This new 3,285 square foot facility serves any family receiving care at CHoR. It features four sleep rooms with private bathrooms, a laundry room, a lounge area, a kitchen and dining area, a playroom, a multi-purpose room and a large outdoor terrace. This welcoming space enables parents and caregivers to remain close to their children while allowing them the time to take a breath, eat a warm meal, take a shower or find comfort in sharing with other families who find themselves in similar situations. Our mission at RMHC is to keep families close together in their time of need.
