Employee Well-being Events

Live events such as webinars, exercise classes and information sessions are a great way to set aside an hour or so in your day to focus on well-being topics that are most relevant to you. Most programs continue to be offered virtually unless specified below. 

VCU is happy to share opportunities to attend university well-being programs with other members of the VCU community, including VCU Health, VCU Dentistry, and other affiliated entities. Please be aware that some features and services discussed may be limited to university employees or may apply differently to employees of VCU Health or other entities. Contact your entity's HR department with any questions.

Pharmacist Guide to Over the Counter Products to Help you this Summer - Wednesday, May 28th – 12 pm

Sound Bath Meditation - Thursday, May 29th – 12 pm

Presented by VCU HR

In-Person Session – Location: Monroe Park (meet by the fountain)

A Sound Bath is a form of meditation that guides you into a deep relaxation state while enveloped in ambient sound. Waves of soothing, echoing sound from crystal bowls, gong and various instruments assist the mind-body with stress and fatigue. This is an in-person session. Bring a mat or a blanket with you if you have one. Weather permitting.

Medicare Overview and State Retiree Health Coverage - Monday, June 2nd – 2 pm

CPR Awareness Virtual Event - Tuesday, June 3rd – 12 pm

Join the AHA and VCU Health’s Michelle Gossip, RN, for an awareness activity that could help save a life – maybe even one of your loved ones! By learning about Hands-Only CPR you can become part of our army of lifesavers ready and willing to act in an emergency. This presentation is an awareness activity only. Additional information will be provided on becoming CPR certified.
