With the holidays approaching and bringing extra emphasis on caring for one another, we have assembled a list of Fall 2025 resources. Focused on food access and financial and mental health, we hope this brings additional support to you this holiday season.

Employee Well-being Events

Live events such as webinars, exercise classes and information sessions are a great way to set aside an hour or so in your day to focus on well-being topics that are most relevant to you. Most programs continue to be offered virtually unless specified below. 

VCU is happy to share opportunities to attend university well-being programs with other members of the VCU community, including VCU Health, VCU Dentistry, and other affiliated entities. Please be aware that some features and services discussed may be limited to university employees or may apply differently to employees of VCU Health or other entities. Contact your entity's HR department with any questions.

Learn and Earn! - Thursday, January 8th – 12 pm

Did you know? In 20 minutes or less you can become financially confident AND earn money? Join this informative session and learn what Banzai is all about and how to use it to your advantage. You will be building your financial literacy and life literacy skills in no time.

We are all trying to save for something – like an emergency, car, home or retirement. In this session you will learn how to commit to your financial goals so you can create a plan to help you reach them.

New Year Guided Meditation - Monday, January 12th – 12 pm

Presented by VCU HR and VCU Recreation & Well-Being

Step into the New Year with clarity, gratitude, and purpose. This guided meditation invites you to pause, reflect, and gently release the past while opening your heart to the possibilities ahead. Through mindful breathing, visualization, and affirmations, you’ll cultivate a sense of inner peace and set meaningful intentions for the year to come.

Eating Right on the Run and on a Budget - Wednesday, January 21st – 12 pm

We all make excuses for eating “junk” or “fast” food. This seminar will cover realistic strategies that will allow us to eat well without breaking the bank. There are many options and knowing the truth empowers us to make the right choices for our health, and even our wealth. Learn the basics of eating healthy within your financial means, including when to select organic food.
