Employee Well-being Events
Live events such as webinars, exercise classes and information sessions are a great way to set aside an hour or so in your day to focus on well-being topics that are most relevant to you. Most programs continue to be offered virtually unless specified below.
VCU is happy to share opportunities to attend university well-being programs with other members of the VCU community, including VCU Health, VCU Dentistry, and other affiliated entities. Please be aware that some features and services discussed may be limited to university employees or may apply differently to employees of VCU Health or other entities. Strength and Stretch

This virtual exercise class is the perfect combination of strength and flexibility training. The class will include 20-minutes of challenging every muscle in your body and then followed by a 10-minute-deep stretch to enhance recover and maximize your workout.

Are you Financially Healthy?

In this workshop, you will understand what it means to be financially healthy – which is so much more than the one score everyone asks you about today – your credit score. True financial health is based on four key components: Spend, Save, Borrow, and Plan. You’ll also get a chance to confidentially determine your own Financial Health Score and the steps you can take to improve that score.

Dealing with the Elephant in the Room is a communications development seminar in which participants learn the skills to talk to anyone about anything. Participants begin by identifying the uncomfortable issues and realities they face at work at and home. Then they learn how to confront such issues with tact, empathy and clarity. This seminar helps increase productivity and improve relationships by proactively addressing problems, conflicts, and misunderstandings.

Let’s Talk Menopause: What Helps & What Works (Part 2)

Building on Part 1 (March 18), this session will feature a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who will provide deeper clinical insight into menopause care. Participants will learn about evidence-based treatment options, symptom management strategies, and ways to partner with healthcare providers to support comfort, health, and quality of life throughout this stage. We will also consider cultural perspectives on menopause, highlight how beliefs, support systems, and care approaches may vary around the world.
